Red Crescent provides aid for Old City of Jerusalem

In cooperation with a local association, it distributed house appliances, including refrigerators, gas cookers, washing machines, television sets, fans, heaters and cooking utensils, to 50 disadvantaged families living around Al Aqsa Mosque.

Sami Makkawi, head of the ERC office in Ramallah, said the Basmat Al Nuwar project has allocated Dh1 million to aid the people of the Old City. It will continue to deliver more assistance there in the form of food baskets, school supplies and university student loan aid.
