Recipe for marital (un)happiness

She is normally used to cooking up a storm in the kitchen so that her legion of fans can drool over her and her delish recipes but this time over, Nigella Lawson will cook up a storm in chat queen Oprah Winfrey’s studio.

News is out that Winfrey is going all out to woo the celebrity chef who has recently separated from her husband, former ad-man and art collector, Charles Lawson.

“Oprah is the place to go if you want to give an interview on a difficult topic and don’t want to be grilled. Nigella understands she will have to start promoting her television show but she does not want to be dogged by uncomfortable questions about her marriage,” a source said recently in a newspaper report.

The woman with melting good looks and a mean hand in the kitchen, where she dishes up sizzling stuff as well, has roped in Britain’s top divorce lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, to handle her divorce from her husband.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and Lawson is likely to be feeling very, very scorned after pictures of her estranged husband trying to strangle her in a London restaurant, grabbed media headlines world over. We suspect Mr. Lawson is going to learn a very expensive lesson in the time to come.

In the meantime, will Lawson’s appearance on Oprah’s show have her fans buying into her part of the story about a marriage gone sour? We have to wait and watch…
