RCA distributes clothes in Pakistan villages

The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has distributed more clothing to underprivileged children in Pakistan in the highlands of north-west Pakistan in coordination with the UAE Embassy.

This comes as an extension of phase three of the campaign to “Dress One Million” campaign of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

A working team toured the area of Chokran and neighbouring villages, where citizens are suffering from the effects of multiple natural disasters, where they were keen to deliver clothing to eligible children.

The Director of the UAE-RCA office in Islamabad, Hamad Abdullah Al Ali, said team received a warm welcome and appreciation from officials and local administrators during their tours, and they expressed their thanks and gratitude for this initiative.

He stressed that the earlier two phases of the distribution of clothing items have achieved their humanitarian objectives launched by the campaign.

The Red Crescent Authority team also distributed hundreds of clothing items to the children of Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed City, which is home to the families of the victims of the 2005 earthquake in Garhi Habibullah, Northwest Pakistan.

The UAE Red Crescent Authority team, working in coordination with the UAE Embassy, have organised the distribution of clothing items to 1,500 children in the city.

The administrators and citizens of Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed City expressed their thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership for the continuous generosity enjoyed by the people of the city which helps in alleviating the burden of their living conditions and improves their lives.
