The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has set aside Dh50.5 million for its seasonal humanitarian programmes abroad.
The budget was approved in a meeting chaired by Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, RCA Secretary-General.
Of the allocated amount, Dh6 million will go for the Ramdan fast-breaking programme, Dh3.5 million for Zakat Ul Fitr, Dh1.5 million for Eid clothing, Dh6.5 million for sacrificial animals and Dh5 million towards stipends.
The committee approved Dh10m for health and social programmes in Palestinian territories. Somalia, Yemen and Lebanon will each get Dh2m. Syria will receive assistance worth Dh5m, while Pakistan will receive Dh1m.
