Rationalisation of power and water to become part of school curricula

DUBAI — The Ministry of Education is mulling introduction of chapters on rational use of power and water consumption in the curricula for students of all public and private schools in the country. As part of this, students will be made aware of the importance of rational utilisation of the precious resources of water and electricity.

Mohammad Khalil Al Shamsi, head of the Media Committee in charge of implementing a rationalisation campaign adopted by the Federal Authority of Electricity and Water to be launched next month, recently met with Mona Al Amri, head of the Curriculum Development Centre at the MoE, after which the intent to introduce the curriculum was announced, Al Amri said.

Al Amri added that the Authority officials were willing to provide all the required technical information about the principles of rationalisation, so as to help integrating these aspects to the school curricula.
