RAK Ruler honours winners of Holy Quran Award
RAS AL-KHAIMAH — His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Ras al-Khaimah has stressed keenness of the leadership on supporting the Holy Quran Memorisation Centres to promote the religious awareness, Islamic culture, moderation and tolerance.
Shaikh Saud made the remark here yesterday, while honouring at the ceremony the 99 winners of the 12th edition of the Ras al-Khaimah Holy Quran Award, organised by the Ras al-Khaimah Foundation for Holy Quran at the Cultural Centre Hall in RAK.
He said the Holy Quran cherishes exemplary life values, indicating that the award plays effective role in encouraging juniors to memorise the Holy Quran.
The Ruler of RAK hailed the efforts of Foundation, citing the annual successful organisation of the Holy Quran awards, which entered its 12th edition this year.
