Some of the banned solicitors, from different nationalities, were found working without renewing their licences for a long time. The Lawyers’ Committee (LC ) of the RJD found that some of them had not showed up at the court for a long time without giving explanations. "They always delegate other junior lawyers to work on their behalf," A top LC official told Khaleej Times on condition of anonymity.

This is besides the fact that they do not have offices suitable for their profession. This is a respectable profession that requires of its practitioners a decent appearance, the official said. Some of them have not even got their educational and career documents attested from their respective embassies, he noted.

The committee has also banned one lawyer from work temporarily and summoned him for further questioning. However, it has also granted licenses to eight new lawyers.
