As May and June attracted over 1,500 people at these “wet” parties, the hotel expects a really big splash this July 13 too.
Of course, no rain is involved, but plenty of water is. At Aloft’s outdoors Liquid by Mai Cafe, cool water showers will be splashed all over the dance floor, a perfect way to dance the hot summer night away. Liquid resident DJ Natalie Brogan will spatter her mixes along with Stew Magoo and the pool party starter himself Chad Phunk.
Dress code for this party is swimwear and flip-flops. Entry is Dh100 for men, which includes a welcoming beverage, and free for women. Aloft is also offering a Liquid exclusive overnight package of Dh299, which includes one night stay and entry to the Rain Party. Starting time is 7pm.
Also at Aloft this July the Euro 2012 final will be screened at Mai Cafe’s air-conditioned tent tomorrow, July 1, and later, on July 5 and 12, evening brunches are to be enjoyed. The yummy mix of international flavours, accompanied by laid-back tunes are priced at Dh135 net with soft drinks or Dh199 net including free flowing of house beverages.
On Saturdays and Sundays this July at Aloft’s Relax@12 there are the Asian Tapas Nights, where you may treat your tummy with oriental bites, delicious tapas and sassy sushi to the value of Dh99 per person and enjoy two complimentary glasses of house red, sake or bubbly.
Not necessarily together and not necessarily in this order, but all three just got better at Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort. Throughout July and August, La Mamma Italian restaurant offers a lunch package including one pizza plus a beverage for Dh65 net per person. On the menu are pizza classics such as Margerita with mozzarella and fresh basil, the Gamberi e Rucula with mozzarella, shrimps and rocket salad or the popular La Mamma with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil. Heartier options are the famous Zola e Speck with Gorgonzola cheese and speck or the Quatro Stagioni with its toppings of artichokes, black olives, beef salami and mushrooms. Apart from making some of the best pizza in Abu Dhabi (seriously), the added bonus of La Mamma is that you may watch chef Andrea preparing your fresh pizza in the open kitchen, which you can then eat in the restaurant or take away.
Another great catch at Sheraton this July and August is the discounted fishing trip! Boat and fishing lovers will be thrilled to know that the hotel has a five-seater cruise boat waiting every day in the lagoon to take you on a fishing trip. Far away from the madding cranes and construction sites around the coast of Abu Dhabi, you will discover that the Arabian Gulf still has plenty of pristine waters, where you can put your fishing skills to test, when booking a five-hour deep sea fishing trip at the hotel’s Health Club. Over the next two months there is 25 percent off the normal rate, so the trip is Dh560 instead of Dh750.
Looking and feeling great this summer is another tempting offer from Sheraton. Getting fit, loosing a few pounds and enjoying the hotel’s three swimming pools are now possible at discounted rates. Memberships for the Health Club for July and August start from Dh1,050 for one month or Dh1,950 for both months and include the gym, aerobic rooms, squash and tennis courts, Jacuzzi and sauna, as well as the outdoor pools and beach.
Alternatively, you may just enjoy Sheraton’s swimming pools and beach at half price. During July and August, the daily weekday entrance drops to Dh60 per person, which includes the usage of the resort area with three chilled pools and a seawater lagoon. For the adventurous guests, a water sports centre is available for motorized and non-motorised fun activities!
