Among those honoured was Ahmed Ameen Abd-Allah Mohammed who attained a top score of 94 per cent. Also receiving awards were Yousuf Abd-Allah Al Naqbi, who scored 93.75 per cent, and Abd-Allah Ahmed Al Hadad who scored 88 per cent marks.

Thirteen male and five female contestants took part in the latest edition of ‘Alhafiz Almuwatin’. Participants who achieved a score of over 80 per cent took home a cash prize of Dh20,000 and a certificate showing they had passed the tests set by the competition.

Contestants who did not manage to pass the 80 per cent marks were also given cash prizes and formal documents attesting their taking part in ‘Alhafiz Almuwatin’.

DIHQA stated the contest was successful in attracting UAE nationals to memorisation of the Holy Quran.
