The incident happened shortly after jury selection for the hush-money trial was completed
The app, appropriately called Quoth Steve, which promises to dish out a Steve Jobs’ original quote every day to the i-users and i-fans is not being welcomed by — surprise surprise — by Apple!
The app which will post a Steve Jobs quote everyday allows users to save and share the same on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, flip over quotes to get a peek into more details and sync-up with varied set of devices. The app designer had planned the app for Apple’s App store but was not received well by Apple stating that the company won’t accept any apps focused exclusively and predominantly on its founder Steve Jobs and guided the founder to include quotes from other well-known figures too!
Apple which boasts of extremely stringent policies for apps to be included in the App store had its App Review Board direct the app developer to explore alternative delivery methods. Hence Co-founder of the app John Gill decided to turn the mobile app into a web-only program that users can run in a browser.
Quoth Steve is a free app which runs on any i-device running iOS 7 and above and can run in Safari and Google Chrome but is not supported on Android devices.
