DUBAI — Brigadier Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Director of Dubai Civil Defence Directorate General, has appealed to members of the public to stick to fire safety rules to avoid accidents during Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
He hoped the pleasant days of Eid Al Fitr would pass safely without accidents. “The emergency mobile civil defence services stand ready to respond to any accidents anywhere any time, especially on these days when shopping centres and recreational facilities will witness huge crowds of families and other people,” Al Matroushi said.
He said that civil defence personnel are on full alert to handle any violations of safety and take preventive measures to curb casualties.
At home, he added, family members should take safety precautions when using electrical appliances, gas cookers, detergents and other chemicals to protect lives and properties. Children should always be attended to by adults whether at home or elsewhere.
Lovers of safari and camping, he said, are also urged to abide by safety rules and prepare well for the outdoor trips.
