The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted a condemnation resolution against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in the Sindh Assembly after filing the same resolution in Punjab Assembly.
The resolution was submitted by Khurram Sher Zaman in which it has been stated that the Sindh government should contact the federation on the statements of Altaf Hussain.
The resolution also states that the British government is giving refuge to such a person who is involved in criminal activities in Pakistan and is constantly interfering in the country's affairs which is against the constitution.
Later, talking to the media, PTI leader Arif Alvi said that the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the MQM are hand in glove in Karachi. He said that Karachi has always witnessed bloodshed but this time FIR season has begun.
The PTI leaders also submitted a memorandum in British High Commission against Altaf Hussain.
Meanwhile, a condemnation resolution against PTI chairman Imran Khan was also submitted by MQM members Iftikhar Ahmad, Mohammed Hussain and Moeez Pirzada in the Sindh Assembly stating that Imran was involved in attack on PTV. Therefore, he should be tried for treason.
Talking to the media, Hussain strongly criticised PTI chief and said that Imran spoke against the Pakistan Army in a private sitting but no action was taken against him.
He demanded termination of Imran's parliamentary membership under article 62 and 63 of the constitution. - Online
