Promotion of failed student
AHMED Salem Al Mansouri, Director of Sharjah Educational Office, Eastern Area, has uncovered the confusions and contradictions in an elementary school, which promoted a student to grade four despite the fact that he failed in three subjects in class three.
Investigations revealed that the error on the part of the teacher was unintentional.
However, we would still like to raise the same question: Why is Hassan, the student, held responsible for this fault, in spite of his being an outstanding success in the first semester of class four?
We call for a compromise solution observing regulations and protecting the successful pupil from depression. Moreover, how is the teacher responsible for this mess going to be punished or taken action against?
