The research, called the 'Zoo Project', has been developed in collaboration with Al Ain Zoological Park.

"The project is an example of an integrated effort based on the principles of experimental learning," said Maria McGuire, Foundation Supervisor.

After researching the animals at the zoo, the F1, F3 and F5 sections of the students made posters and brochures that give full information about these animals like bat, buffalo, pelican, oryx, lion, tiger, horned scimitar, etc.

They also formulated quiz and crosswords on the issue. The F4 students made an educational video on the animals after collecting relevant information, Maria said.

The group also held meetings with the zoo officials to thrash out a unified plan to help them educate the public, particularly children on the correct conduct towards animals.

The students of the college and the public were invited to present the entries for Zoo Poster Competition, being organised as a part of the project.

The stand of the group at the Open Day and Bazaar, organised recently by the college, also received an overwhelming response from the visitors at the show.
