Addressing a Press conference the SPLA officials strongly condemned the attitude of Returning officers (ROs) and the education department for pressurising teachers over election duties and urged the government to end this discriminatory attitude towards the academic staff.

They alleged that the death of Prof. Hasnain Akhtar Gilani, a professor at D.J. Science Collge died due to the undue pressure and harassment by the RO. “The pressure from ROs and the education department claimed the life of Prof. Hasnain Akhtar Gilani, on Wednesday,” they claimed.
