The minister’s order followed a Khaleej Times report on Friday that other private schools in the emirate accused the ministry of double standards after Emirates Private School was exempted from paying the fine.

Ministry sources said the minister has instructed the bodies concerned to treat all private educational institutions equally. The ministry will not let any violation go unpunished, they said.

Meanwhile, Fawziyya Hassan, Director of the Sharjah Education Zone, welcomed the probe order, saying it underlined the policy pursued by Dr Hassan and senior officials of the ministry to implement the rules and regulations without making any exceptions.
