President awards Iranian Ambassador ‘Order of Independence’

ABU DHABI - President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has awarded the outgoing Iranian Ambassador, Hamid Reza Asefi, the “Order of Independence” of First Degree in appreciation of his generous contributions to the boosting of relations of cooperation between the UAE and Iran in various areas.

Shaikh Abdullah presents Hamid Reza  Asefi the ‘Order of Independence’ of First Degree.Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who received the Iranian Ambassador on Sunday at the Al-Nakheel Palace, decorated him with the Order. Shaikh Abdullah congratulated the ambassador and wished him success in his future assignment.

The outgoing ambassador expressed profound gratitude to the UAE President for the great honour.

He praised Shaikh Khalifa for his wise policy and for the significant role he plays at the regional and international levels.

He also thanked UAE officials in general, and officials of the foreign ministry in particular, for the cooperation he received during his tenure, which, he said, had contributed immensely in the successful discharge of his mission.
