Students across the UAE who are interested in undertaking all or part of their school education in the United Kingdom can now look forward to a rewarding and stimulating experience at Queen’s College.

“Boarding schools are ideal for parents who are pursuing careers or are obliged to live overseas for a year or two,”observed Stephanie Evans, UAE Education Promotion Manager.

Normal life

She said that the headmaster of Queen’s College, Chris Alcock will give a presentation at the British Council and shed more light on the boarding system of education in the UK, where students live a normal life as teenagers and at the same time receive quality education that enables them to exceed their potential in exam results because of the extra time available to them which also helps develop their independent character.

“Mr Alcock will be stressing on the fact that boarding schools are not isolated islands of eccentricity but very similar to mainstream family life,” she said.

She added that there are more than 700 independent boarding schools in the UK with around 21,000 international students, out of which approximately 480 come from the Middle East.
