Pre-paid parking to cover more areas in Capital
ABU DHABI — Abu Dhabi Traffic Police will join hands with the Abu Dhabi Municipality to implement the pre-paid parking project in the capital, a senior police official has said. Col. Ghaith Hassan Al Za’abi, director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at the Abu Dhabi Police, told Khaleej Times that the project would cover main areas that experience acute parking crisis.
“The project start will be started from the downtown (financial) district which houses the stock market, a number of banks and ministries,” he said, adding that from September, motorists will be charged Dh2 for an hour and a maximum Dh15 for the whole day for parking services.
