As per the court records, the plaintiff had filed a lawsuit with the Sharjah Shariah Court, demanding custody of the children, accusing the mother of indulging in unnatural relationship with other partners.

However, the Shariah Court of First Instance rejected the lawsuit, and so did the Court of Appeal.

The plaintiff then contested the verdict at the Federal Supreme Court.

The Federal Supreme Court ruled that the plaintiff had failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove his charges against his ex-wife.
