IF a big blaze had not broken out in one of the storage godowns in Ajman, we would not have uncovered the many sub-standard gas cylinders smuggled into the UAE from nearby countries.
So what might look apparently harmful could be useful in one way or another.
The law is not explicit on what kind of charge should be framed with regard to the aforesaid malpractice. It is high time that the law breakers are punished without leniency as they risk lives of people by supplying such cylinders to make money.
Such money would be stained with blood.
As stringent penalties have been lacking in law against such acts, the concerned bodies should deal sternly with these violators. A more rigorous penalty should be enforced to instantly curb these reckless people.
