Pizza with a heart

Sometimes, all it needs is for businesses to think with their hearts rather than their brains. In Pune, hospitality industry major, Hyatt Regency, decided Christmas time is a great way to show the spirit of caring and good cheer.

Last week over a dozen chefs, hotel guests and regular patrons had the time of their life rolling out a whopper of a thin crust pizza at the hotel’s Italian restaurant, La Terrazza. Huge amounts of cheese, exotic vegetables and cheese went on top the enormous 60X6 feet pizza which has now entered the Lima book of records for the longest ever Pizza in India. The previous record holder is a pizza that is a foot shorter.

Having made the record-breaking pizza, the restaurant then opened its doors to 150 underprivileged children from local NGOs who came, took in the sight of the pizza in amazement and tucked into it with great excitement. Just the sight of those happy was enough reward for all that hard work, the hotel’s general manager, Mohammad Labban, said.

We could not agree more. We are sure the kids feel this was the best Christmas gift ever…
