Serves: 6
Ingredients
Plain flour 4 cup
Yeast 2 tsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Water, warm 1 ½ cup
Butter 2 tsp
Milk ½ cup
Method
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and leave for 15-20 minutes in a warm place.
Add the plain flour, salt and butter and knead until smooth and elastic.
Cover and allow it to rise until it gets doubled (approx. 1 hour).
Punch down the dough, divide into 10 equal parts and make small rounded balls.
Grease the baking tin and arrange the balls inside. Allow them to double in size.
Apply a coating of milk with a pastry brush and bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes at 200°C.
Once baked, cool them for a few minutes in the tin. Invert the tin, take them out. Serve.
