Passing out of chopper flight instructors

AL AIN — The first batch of helicopter flight instructors will graduate from the Horizon International Flight Academy here at a ceremony on January 2.

The instructors who will pass out at the function to be held at 10am at the Al Ain International Airport have completed intensive training for 135 hours, said Mohammed Himaidan Al Zaabi, deputy general manager and marketing director of the academy.

“The academy’s flight training facilities are co-located within the Horizon campus area and the dispersal consists of nine helipads adjacent to the airport runway,” Al Zaabi told Khaleej Times.

He said the team had completed from both civilian and military fields in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
