The effort comes in implementation of the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the follow-up by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The projects approved by the committee, during its meeting which was attended by Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works, included a number of programmes, aimed at the development of the government sector in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah at a cost of Dh160 million along with the development of education and rehabilitation, and integration of the unemployed.
The initiative also includes the construction of 71 villas for citizens associated with the armed forces in the Dhaid region along with a number of additional works linked with the project of Shaikh Zayed Mosque in the Emirate of Fujairah, at a cost of Dh19 million.
Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, said that the initiatives are meant to give decent life to citizens including raising of their economic and social stature to achieve the vision of the President. The committee discussed at its meeting a number of topics and took appropriate decisions. —
