Pakistan Centre To Get New Office-Bearers
sharjah – Pakistanis living in Sharjah and Ajman can vote in the February 12 elections of Pakistan Social Centre, Sharjah, if they become its member by January 31, the centre’s president said on Thursday.
Raja Mohammad Sarfraz said that membership drive is in full swing and Friday has been fixed as voting day so that maximum number of people can vote to elect the centre’s office-bearers. “The present committee of office-bearers will not contest in order to allow new people to take charge,” Sarfraz told Khaleej Times.
More than 300,000 Pakistanis live in the two emirates. They include businessmen, professionals, government and private employees, labourers, students and their families. Two major schools of the community are located here.
