The contract was signed by Amelou B. Reyes, President, The Philippines Women’s University and Dr Javaid Leghari, Vice-President and Project Coordinator of Szabist, in Malaysia last month.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Dr Leghari said, “It is the desire of both the institutions to develop programmes, seminars, exchange and visits that could promote the educational, social and economic well being of students and faculty as well as the people and regions served by the two institutions.”

He also said that it has been mutually agreed by universities that the details of any such programme, seminar, exchange and visit will be worked out and implemented at schedule and terms convenient to both institutions. “The programmes may include but might not be limited to faculty/administrators and staff exchange, student transfer and exchange and joint seminars, research and conferences,” he added.

Carmencita Magtal, AVP, Continuing Education and Information Technology, Director Career Development and Continuing Education Centre (CDCEC), visited the Szabist campus yesterday and appreciated the facilities that would be offered to Filipino students including courses in hospitality and retail businesses among several others.

The PWC offers ladderised certificate courses and modularised curriculum and even has an online course delivery for its affiliate schools for both men and women. It has defined its mission and pledge to an enduring commitment to prepare the learners as role models for useful citizenship through holistic education.
