SHARJAH - More than 700 publishers from all over the world, including 26 Arab publishing houses, will participate in the 27th edition of the 10-day Sharjah Book Fair, which will commence on October 29.
“Last year, the book fair in December had coincided with the school examinations. So in order to avoid the conflict of schedules, the book fair will now be held a month earlier,” said Abdullah Al Owais, Director-General of Sharjah Department of Culture.
All the books at the fair would be sold at a discount of 25 per cent, according to Dr Yousuf Aydabi, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Book Fair.
