Over 700 Publishers to Take Part in Sharjah Book Fair

“Last year, the book fair in December had coincided with the school examinations. So in order to avoid the conflict of schedules, the book fair will now be held a month earlier,” said Abdullah Al Owais, Director-General of Sharjah Department of Culture.

All the books at the fair would be sold at a discount of 25 per cent, according to Dr Yousuf Aydabi, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Book Fair.

The exhibitors, mainly from the United Kingdom, the United States and India, would display over 29,000 titles at the event.

The Department of Culture, too, will showcase its own publications, with 60 new titles and e-books.
