Over 2,000 teachers appointed

DUBAI - Ministry of Education and Youth (MoEY) has sanctioned Dh2.307 million as advanced payment for the new expatriate teachers.

The ministry will start making the payment of sanctioned amount during current week.

The financial department at the ministry of education will launch e-Dhirham service. The new service aims at rationalising the financial sources of the ministry.

Mohamed Juma bin Hindi, Assistant Under-Secretary of Ministry of Education of Financial Department, said that ministry finalised the procedure of appointing 2,060 teachers from UAE nationals and expatriates and another 147 new teachers are expected to arrive by the next week.

He said the new teachers would be appointed in various educational zones.
