The notary public section of the Ras Al Khaimah Courts has processed over 18,000 transactions in the first half of the year.
Ahmed Al Khatri, chairman of the RAK Courts, said the notary public section processed 18,130 transactions over the period from January 1 to June 30.
"These included 14,048 in the notary public headquarters in RAK city and 4,082 in the other four branches across the emirate. It processes an average of 3,021 different transactions every month. It only takes maximum 10 minutes to process any transaction with the notary public section, RAK courts."
The notary public section with RAK Courts provides an array of 19 services, Al Khatri added. "These are divided into three main services and 16 complementary ones."
Most of the transactions requested are attestation of power of attorney and contracts, he added. "The notary public staff section is daily open for 14 hours on two shifts; morning and evening, at the RAK Courts headquarters downtown, Sundays to Thursdays, and for 11 hours on Saturdays, while Friday is off."
