Over 130 mobikes impounded

DUBAI — More than 130 motor-cycles were impounded in less than two weeks during a campaign against reckless riding, according to Major Humood Saeed Al Amry, head of the Highway Security Section in Deira Traffic Department.

Major Al Amry said the department will impose penalties on motorcyclists whose bikes have been impounded. Mobikes with no registration numbers will be seized permanently.

He added that the campaign will continue throughout the summer vacation.
