Nurses employed or waiting to be employed in the private sector holding an official letter issued by the MoH Private Medical Licensing Department are eligible to sit for the exams, Fatima Al Rifai, FDN Director, said yesterday.

She said nurses who register for the exams must meet the following eligibility criteria concerning academic achievement and nursing experience — all national applicants who are graduates of foreign nursing programmes must have a minimum of 60 per cent marks.

The applicants must have at least 1000 hours of nursing experience in the three years prior to applying for registration in the UAE.

She said registration will be closed once the seats are full.

Private sector nurses meeting the eligibility requirements may request the nursing, midwifery registration application form and instruction and information sheet for registration from the FDN during regular working hours.
