The shift to online banking has led to mass closings of UK bank branches
Colonel Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, said the police detained the woman’s Indian boyfriend. Both of them were working for a national service company.
The police arrested the man after the company informed them that the woman had been missing for five days and he was the last person to see her. They went on a date after which she never returned to her company flat. Al Mansouri said the Operations Room of the police on Sunday received a call from a worker that he found the naked body of a woman while cleaning a manhole in Al Qusais. The police rushed to the area and shifted the body to the General Department of Forensic Medicine for autopsy. The police called the director of the company who identified the body as that of the missing woman.
Khalil said the police have not found any evidence linking her boyfriend with her death or the cause.
