Nuclear safety departments under study
ABU DHABI — The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is considering to set up specialised departments in Civil Defence to supervise sources of nuclear radiation, according to Major General Mohammed Salim Al Amiri, General Manager of Civil Defence.
Maj-Gen Al Amiri is heading a delegation at the 20th meeting of GCC Civil Defence officials in Oman.
He said that it was very important to supervise nuclear sources, and to know how to deal with nuclear accidents.
