The web site will cover topics such as non-resident Bangladeshis and their position in the rapidly changing world, the potential role of NRBs in poverty alleviation at home, views and opinions and other current and relevant information. The NRB Forum site also aims to setup a global database as part of its information dissemination.

The Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh, has also published a book by Ahmed Farid, titled Muslim Ummah in the Contemporary World. The 11-part book which was launched in the city on Saturday, deals with the global Muslim perspective of an integrated education system for the Muslim ummah. It also reflects the concerns of parents of students studying abroad.

The book also explains the meaning of the word jihad and the subtle distinction between lesser and greater jihad. The book also takes a looks at the historical background of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and a portion of the book responds to the media crusade against Islam and Muslims in the Western world. It also looks at reviving the scientific spirit in the ummah and examines the idea of a Islamic free trade area among Muslim countries.
