Dubai - Dar Al Ber Society staff representatives are collecting donations at different branches of Etisalat in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah during the holy month of Ramadan.
The move follows a charity agreement recently inked by the two parties to help raise funds for the seasonal projects that the Dar Al Ber Society organises during Ramadan.
“The mandatory and voluntary alms to be collected will be earmarked for free Iftar meals, Eid clothes and other philanthropic programmes. Some contribution will go to orphans, needy and low-income families to meet their needs and make them happy,” said Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, executive director of the society.
Such generosity helps boost the spirit of fraternity and solidarity among members of the society based on the principles of Islam and in view of the national vision of the country, he added.
