NMC to mark World Arabic Language Day

ABU DHABI -- UAE will mark the World Arabic Language Day on Thursday and Sharjah will be hosting a ceremony on this occasion under the patronage of Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah.

The ceremony will be attended by several ministries, authorities , government institutions and the concerned department.

In a lecture delivered by Bilal Rabia Al Bodour, assistant undersecretary for Culture and Arts in the ministry of Culture, Youth and Community development said: “UAE gives special care for protecting Arabic Language under directives of the wise leadership”.

He reviewed the challenges faced by the Arabic Language and the role of educational and cultural institutions in protecting the language.
