Route No. 9 that runs from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Wasl via Satwa will not ply on Shaikh Zayed service road, and will run only on Road 308 and loop back to Satwa to proceed further to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Running between Hor Al Anz, Karama and Satwa, Route No. 23 would take the Al Diyafah Road from Trade Centre to go to Al Satwa Roundabout turn and join Road 308 and further go via Street 57 and Al Satwa Road to go to Al Satwa Bus Station. It would follow the same route returning to Hor Al Anz from Al Satwa Bus Station.

Route 61 will run via Shaikh Rashid Road and Oud Metha Roads instead of running via Trade Centre Interchange, while Routes No. 21 and 92, going to Al Quoz Industrial Area and Jebel Ali from Al Ghubaiba Bus station respectively will not take the Shaikh Zayed service road. Instead they would proceed from Trade Centre Interchange straight on the main Shaikh Zayed Road towards Interchange No.1 and stop near Safa Interchange and Al Barsha bus stops respectively.

The department has requested passengers to cooperate and make the Dubai 2003 event a grand success.
