The Philippine Consulate in Dubai has issued an announcement dated April 8, 2018 regarding the renewal of Filipino passports.
In the memo posted on the consulate's website, it said that the Philippine Consulate in Dubai will no longer accept walk-in applications for passport renewals. Starting April 10, Tuesday only those who need immediate renewal of their passports will be prioritised. However, these parties need to send an email to the consulate along with proof that they need their passport on an urgent basis. People who fall in this category were indicated in the same memo.
Only those who need to renew their passport due to an emergency, medical reasons, death in the family will be given priority application for passport renewal. These parties need only to send an email to epassportcoord@pcgdubai.ae along with proof of their urgent passport renewal.

How can I apply now?

In order to apply for the renewal of your Philippine passport, Filipinos in Dubai are now required to secure an appointment using the consulate's online services. Who are exempted from this new rule?

Apart from this, the consulate also reminded that those aged 12 and below; senior citizens, aged 60 and above; seafarers; domestic helpers; persons of determination; and pregnant women are exempted from online passport appointment. The latter two however must provide medical certificates during their renewal application.
