New ministers come with varied experience

Saqr Ghubash Saeed Ghubash, Minister of Labour: He had served as undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, then undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and Culture. After that, he was appointed ambassador to the US.

Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water: He completed PhD in engineering from Glasgow University in Scotland in 1964.

Obeid Humaid Al Tayer, State Minister for Financial Affairs: A graduate of the University of Colorado in the US, he had been a member of the Federal National Council during 1981-1985.

Khalifa Bakheet Al Filasi, State Minister: He holds PhD in political science. He was the first UAE ambassador to Australia. He was also appointed undersecretary of the Ministry of Education.

Hadif Jawaan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice: He holds PhD in comparative constitutional law from Cambridge University in the UK. Prior to his current position, he was the vice-chancellor of Emirates University.

Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimy, State Minister: She had served as the assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for economic affairs. Prior to that, she was the deputy chief of mission at the UAE Embassy in Washington DC. She started her professional career at the executive office of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid in Dubai. She completed undergraduation and graduation at Tufts University and Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She holds PhD in social science from Ain Shams University in Egypt. — Wam

  4. Lt-Gen. Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior
  5. Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
  6. Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
  7. Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  8. Shaikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works.
  9. Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade. (Moved from Minister of Economy)
  10. Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs. (Promoted from State Minister of Cabinet Affairs, also made incharge of public sector development)
  11. Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamili, Minister of Energy.
