ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Men's College held its annual orientation programme for new students yesterday with over 400 students attending the event in two sessions. This year, the Men's College is piloting its new Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) wallet which is the world's first student electronic wallet. It will allow students to access payment and academic information using mobile phones.

Dr Senthil Nathan, Director of the College, said: “We are excited about this new initiative. Not only will students have 'anywhere anytime' access to academic information, they will be able to use their phones to make payments on campus.

The electronic wallet is the result of collaboration between HCT and C-Scam, a leader in the mobile payments sector.
