New fees on import of livestocks

DUBAI - Saeed Mohammed Al Raghabani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, yesterday issued a decree imposing new fees on import of livestocks, eggs and fisheries into the UAE.

Under the new regulations, the import fees for goats and sheep arriving into the UAE have been fixed at Dh200 if the consignment is less than 5,000 animals, while Dh500 for more than 5,000 heads of goats. For import of cows, the fee is fixed at Dh200 if the numbers are less than 5,000, and Dh500 for more than 5,000 heads.

The import fees for eggs less than 15,000 will be Dh200, and the import of fish is determined at Dh100. The fees for import of pets is Dh200.
