Need to boost UAE, Greece ties stressed

ABU DHABI — Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the new Greek Ambassador, George Kostolas, who presented his credentials to him yesterday.

Shaikh Abdullah wished the new ambassador success in his mission of boosting cooperation between the UAE and Greece.

The ambassador expressed happiness for representing his country in the UAE and praised the wise policies of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also lauded the UAE for occupying an enviable position in the comity of nations.

Present at the meeting were the director of the protocol department, Obeid Salim Al Zaabi and the director of the office of the foreign minister, Khalifa Isa Al Falasi.

Shaikh Abdullah also received the Indian Ambassador, Chandra Mohan Bhandari and discussed with him bilateral ties between the UAE and India and ways to boost them. They also discussed developments in the region and follow-up of the agreements signed during the recent visit to India by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice -President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Shaikh Abdullah later received Pakistan Ambassador Ahsan Ullah Khan and discussed with him bilateral relations between the UAE and Pakistan and ways to boost them in various areas. They also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
