At a recent meeting with directors and representatives of 25 private schools in Dubai, Dr Al Badri said the education process has to address three issues - First, need to spread the culture of distinction; second, development of the learning process, third, the evaluation of distinguished students, not by measuring the level of memorisation abilities, but by developing their thinking capabilities.

Dr Al Badri was addressing the principals of the private schools who attended the meeting organised at the Science Research School by the Committee for Development of the Private Educational Sector in Dubai Educational Zone.

He said that such meetings would enhance cooperation among the schools.

Afraa Al Hai, head of the committee, said that it was the second meeting that brought together principals of private schools in Dubai.

"We wanted to inform all schools about the new strategies and plans introduced by the educational zones to improve the standard of education," she said, listing the positive impact the first meeting had on the performance of some schools.

At the meeting, some of the leading schools in Dubai presented a number of projects to develop the educational process in the private sector.
