NCC will debate proposed health insurance law

ABU DHABI — The National Consultative Council (NCC) is holding its fifth session at Al Hosn Palace here in Abu Dhabi today to discuss the report of the Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee regarding the planned health insurance law.

The issue of closing the school health centre in Abu Dhabi is also on the agenda.

The NCC will also discuss the report of the Financial, Economical, Industrial and Oil Affairs Committee, regarding the issue of the increasing personal loans segment in the local banks. The committee has approved steps to draft and control the mechanisms of granting personal loans, in addition to the coordination between banks, and discussing the role of the Central Bank in this matter.

The Law and Legislative Affairs Committee, headed by NCC Speaker Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Masoud held a meeting with Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Auqaf Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri on the delay in implementation of verdicts delivered by the courts of Abu Dhabi.
