He said that the plot of lands were handed over to deserving UAE nationals who had applied earlier to the project. The municipality will spend Dh10 million to start levelling these lands to facilitate the construction soon. The municipality has signed a contract with a contracting company to start work on levelling such lands. The municipality will also start making plans to construct roads, and instal all kinds of services including water, electricity, sewage connection, as well as commercial and market outlets.

He pointed out that around 100 houses and 300 plots of land were recently distributed by His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, to UAE nationals in Al Jarf and Al Nuaimia, as he is very keen on providing nationals with proper housing to facilitate their settlement and encourage young people to start their families.

He pointed out that there will be another quota of land plots to be distributed soon through the municipal committee which was formed earlier to review the application of UAE nationals who require such lands.

Shaikh Rashid stressed that these two areas in which the plots of land were distributed earlier are connected with water and power supply as well as telephone lines and other kinds of services. The municipality will facilitate the procedures of construction in these plot of lands and help its owners by providing them with important consultations on building and construction.

He stressed that the Shaikh Zayed Housing Project succeeded in satisfying the needs of a large number of citizens who were in need of these houses. The municipality will save no efforts in supporting the project by launching and improving the services for the new areas.

The Government of Ajman has donated a commercial plot of land to the Shaikh Zayed Housing Project to construct 22-storeyed buildings for investment whose proceeds will go for projects to support the needy.
