According to an officer from Al Ain Police Emergency and Safety Unit (AAPESU), the accident occurred at 7am when the girl lost control over the steering wheel. "As a result, the car flipped over several times before crashing into a streetlight pole by the roadside," the officer said.

"The rescue team had to cut the car's front by a hydraulic device to pull out the injured girl who was shifted to Al Ain Government Hospital for treatment," the officer added.

Aluminium doors stolen

Thieves stole the aluminium doors of the electricity room of a twin building in the Al Jimmi Muraijib area.

A source from Al Ain Police said this type of theft is rare in Al Ain City. "Investigations are going on and efforts are being made to arrest the culprits.

'The theft took place at night when the buildings' residents were sleeping," he added.
