Nahyan receives Egyptian minister of State for Sports

ABU DHABI - Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development received today at his Palace the visiting Egyptian Minister of State for Sports El-Amri Farouk and also Chairman of Executive Office of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports.

Shaikh Nahyan and Farouk exchanged views on the importance of sports among the youth and its role in bringing together the peoples and their cultures, as well as consolidating the principles of peace and harmony among nations.

Shaikh Nahyan cited the keenness of UAE’s leadership and people on developing sports, participation and hosting of the international sports competitions.

For his part, the Egyptian minister lauded the sports in the UAE, referring to his participation at the Peace and Sports Dubai Forum, which was hosted by the UAE for the first time at the level of the Middle East.

El-Amri Farouk stressed in a statement that the relations between the UAE and Egypt are very strong, and the governments of both countries enjoy mutual respect.

He added that the coming period will witness new prospects in the sports field.

The Egyptian minister added that the Egyptians will never forget UAE’s stances towards the Egyptian people in all circumstances. He added that they cherish love and appreciation for the wise leadership of the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Founder of the UAE, the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
