Al Haj said that His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, had instructed to develop parks to ensure environmental dimension and family health preservation.
“The availability of a park in each residential area and a tree in each villa is a humanitarian requirement to preserve everybody’s health in the family,” he said.
“According to Shaikh Sultan’s directives, we have reviewed the issues and prepared annual plans. We have launched a project which is the first of its kind in the country. The project, under the slogan, ‘My garden is my friend’, is aimed at creating awareness about protection of parks,” he said.
