The minister gave this assurance while meeting a delegation of the aggrieved parents.

The parents had urged the minister to intervene in the matter and get the hike rolled back.

The school had increased the fees after shifting from a villa in Abu Dhabi to the new spacious premises in Mussafah.

Talking about yesterday’s meeting, a parent told Khaleej Times: “We met the minister and showed him all details of how the school had increased the tuition fee by 76 per cent and handed over the relevant documents to him in this respect.”

The parents said the minister heard them sympathetically and assured of taking measures in the regard. A parent said, “The minister told us that this is a very serious matter and they will investigate the entire issue and take appropriate measures.”

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Dr Hassan said: “We’ll follow up the matter to resolve the matter.”
